What 4-door to buy next?

I can't make up my mind on a new daily driver, I'm all over the map.. here's what I've considered, am I missing anything that is a 4-door with a manual or dual-clutch?

Subaru WRX STI
Tesla Model 3 (my commute is about to get longer and more boring so autopilot might be nice)
Audi RS3
M3
Model S 75
M3 w/ DCT and carbon brakes
Model S 100
Model S P100D
M6

As far as I can tell, there won't be any new BMWs coming out in 2018 that fit the bill and I can't wait longer than that.. for that matter the window to get an M3 closes in the fall.

The 2018 M5 is stupid fast and has AWD and handles great and may even have stayed the same weight or lost a little. I’d consider it or the 2018 E63 AMG if I had $100k to spend on a car.

I should have mentioned... I hate slushboxes... so AMG, the "M5" and most American cars are out.
I'm not big on AWD but I should try the RS, thanks for the ideas!

Edit: I didn't realize AMG's MCT is not a torque-converter gearbox... I'll have to look at the C/CLS too...

Depends on your commute, roads etc. If I had loads of cash I'd probably daily a Macan S or above. Would be nice to have the ground clearance and sidewalls to not be worried about the crappy roads around NY, they are cratered to hell already after a few snows.

I'd also look at the Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio, and the new Stelvio.

Cheaper than that it's all about the Golf GTi / R. Given its a daily not worth spending more than this IMO unless your covering big miles.

Given a lot of commuting is sat in traffic jams and stop / start driving, Tesla would also be a great option as you pointed out.

Life is too short to DD a car I don't like
For now I have some homework to do... if I were willing to get an SUV I'd get a used F150 quad-cab... then I could tow a racecar.

Tesla's are pretty polarizing among a lot of enthusiasts since they're all electric and basically giant, very fast, rolling computers. You either love them, or hate them. If that's your thing, they are awesome at what they do and great for A-to-B commuting. If you're at all thinking you want to explore a twisty back road or check out a track one day, the other cars are much better and far more involving to drive.

Since you mentioned an STi as the first car on your list, I'd also throw in the Evo. It won't be as comfortable as the others for daily driving if you've got a long and boring commute, but will make up for it if you do any back-road or track driving where the car shines.

I was going to say the Alfa Quad but they only make them in a torque-converter 8-speed automatic for the US market. And reliability is questionable.

The Chevy SS is comfortable and has excellent handling and a V8 if you can get over the bland styling and Chevrolet badge on the hood. Same with the last gen CTS-V (current gen CTS-V only comes in an automatic)and current gen ATS-V.

If you are open to hatchbacks, the Golf R uses the same drivetrain and motor as the Audi S3, but costs $10k less and you can either get a dual-clutch auto or 6-speed manual. S3 and RS3 only come in automatics, but are more luxurious if you need that in your daily driver.

Performance petrol engine or electrical, two different animals all together. Not more serious about the differences than so I'd say any car with the right badge will do the job mate.

If you don't need a ton of space, I'd get the RS3.

With a tune, it can dip into the low 3's for 0 to 60. And some guys with stage 2 tunes and flashes are 2.9, with stock internals. Now that's a real pocket rocket there.

I think I've spent too much time in BMW's... the Audi interior is just "weird" to me
Probably it's narrowed to the series 3 (comes in around $55k with the options I'd get) or an M3 (somewhere above $70k) if I can figure out the right mix of settings for it to have good throttle response.

I looked at a used m6 gc but I think it’s too big and soft for me. Also the one I looked at had been a lemon buyback so I ran.
