Thanks for the reference. I called CVT and it sounds like they know what they are doing. I asked them to step through the process. They said they've done this on many M3's before so they have experience. The price they quoted was $350-$400 which is a little steep since it is just 1-2 hours of shop time but I'm ok with that. As long as they do good quality work and it sounds good. Other shops I've called won't do this OEM exhaust mod.
Masq, others, are you happy with the results? |

yea, happy with the results. mainly because i can hear the vroom, but not have to worry about exhaust drone when i'm on the phone in the car. just ask the guys to do it like steve's white m3 from a couple weeks ago, and you won't be disappointed.
a lot of the houston e9x guys heard it over the weekend, so you can probably ask one of those guys on the e90 facebook page on what they thought about it. |

no clue on high-flow cats, but i'd be surprised if they didn't keep some on their shelves, given that they were primarily a muffler shop in the past. but really, the stock cats aren't really going to make that big of a performance impact for your car. at least until you decide to slap on a supercharger or something.
i do know that the guys over there love doing straight pipes. the owner of cvt has an m5 with a straight pipe design. don't do that. i think it sounds too damn loud and nasty. |
