It's interesting how the M3 is still named best drivers car after 5 years.

Says a lot about the all rounded excellence and staying power of the M3.

Says even more about the absolute lack of innovation or advancement that has occurred from BMW, Mercedes, Audi or anyone else since the E9X M3's debut.

its weird that m3 is even faster then the c63. Maybe too much wheel spin on the c63?

Drove all these cars except for the RS5. Ordered my new M3 last month. Great article!

It's just too much power for the car to handle. 444 lbs of torque through an open diff is a recipe for insanity. The C63 doesn't even come with an LSD standard! The P31 Development package which bumps up HP to 481 HP is what gives you that.

P.S. You have a C63 so you already know this.

I love how a car that is relatively near the end of its life cycle is still so competitive. Got to love the AMG too though. I might want to own one someday... maybe.

What disappoints me the most is the RS5. It is such a beautiful car that I really wanted Audi to get it right. That would be a car I would have liked to own but it seems to be universally disliked (well, the least favourite) in its class. Too bad.

Audi's cars just plow way too much. A trick diff won't defy the laws of physics. The Quattro system doesn't really help it any.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I'm actually half thinking of modifying the M3 to make it a little more hard core (when it's paid off ) and keeping it as a dedicated weekend toy/track car. I would then pick up a C63 AMG coupe as my new DD. Well, just a thought anyway... by then I will have changed my mind ten times over

You can get the LSD without the P31.

Only 3 stars for the RS5 is rough.

The M3 staying still being on top shows how much better BMW's chassis engineers are than the competition.

I got a C63 before the LSD became a solitary option. It really, really needed one.

I agree with that and even an LSD isn't going to substantively change that. The rear tires are too damn skinny.

only 12.9 for the C63? The trap speed looks about right.
