Wheel Options

I'm thinking about getting some new wheels for the M... I would like to get a sanity check / opinions from some other members. Which of these two are better (they will be 19")? Or should I keep looking?

MHT Merlot Diamond Black - I would likely have the lip / inner barrel painted black on this one if I end up with it

MHT Mono Tec T03 look really nice. Do you have any other info on them? Forged? Weight? Offsets?

I would say most people on the forum would choose the first option. Although a lot of members have wheels similar to the second option. I like both. I am in the same boat. Do I want to have a more bling look (IMO #2) or a more conservative race look (IMO #1)?

I had the same thoughts. I was leaning towards the T03, and so far that seems to be the general consensus.

In repsponse to the questions about the wheels, I asked my contact at the manufacturer's - his responses are in red.

1. The Mono Tecs are forged one piece, correct? Yes sir
2. What offsets would they be for the M3? Fronts ET 13-25 Rears ET 20, on the fronts depends on how aggressive you want them
3. What is the weight of the wheel? On 19” about 20lbs

If anyone is interested in the wheels, I am happy to pass along his contact info - just PM me.

liking T03 better, the first one bears somewhat resemblance of a dymag or HRE wheel

I dont know what the exact cost will be, but I know the guy who does.

Send him an email; he works at MHT and can refer you to a vendor in your area, or he might provide his own pricing...

For pricing, your best bet is to get in touch with either wheeladdicts (they've posted in this thread) or Hadrian @ MHT (his email is in an earlier post). Approximate weight of 20lbs/wheel was given to me, but I have not verified this number. Quality should be top notch. MHT manufactures wheels for a variety of other companies, all of whom are large & reputable names. I have already ordered these wheels and they should be ready in ~3 weeks - I will post up pics as soon as they are on.
