Help with BMW Trunk and Hood Roundel Swap

I've already installed the CF BMW emblem for the hubs and the steering wheel. I for the life of me cannot get the OEM hood or trunk emblems off the car. I don't know what tool to use. I've tried credit cards but they all are too thick to insert behind the roundels. I hear that the plastic ribbon wrap that usually comes wrapped around very large packages will work, but I don't have any around the house.

I hear there is some kind of plastic gripping tool that can be used, but I'm not sure what that is or what it looks like.

Anybody care to share their experience with this?

Thanks for the link. But I'm not looking to spend $19 just to install two roundels although these would be the ideal tools.

I'm looking for other creative ideas with everyday objects around the house.

try a pair of gloves and some dental floss. The gloves will keep you from getting your hands cut.

09E92M34ME: I've tried the dental floss, it's too flimsy and loose to get behind the hood roundel, because the hood roundel sits in a concave circle in the hood. I notice that you have black roundels. How did you go about installing yours?

I was going to suggest zip ties. I ended up buying a cheap trim tool set from Harbor Freight (like $6) and those didn't scratch my paint at all. You shouldn't have to scratch your car to get these off!
