Something Unusual

Something unusual happened last night... I went out for dinner parked my car as normal, but when I came back I unlocked the doors and opened the passenger door then the window opened half way, then the window closed as I closed the door, the same with the drivers door.
Is this normal as it has never happened to me before and has not happened again...

Half way? the window does drop a bit when opened and close a bit once fully shut. This is a feature built in to make closing and opening the doors easier when the windows are up. But it's not supposed to go half way down.

On UK cars (E92/93) if you press the unlock button twice before opening the car, the window drops half way down and then shuts once the door is closed.

It is designed to make entering the wide doors easier when parked in tight spaces.

I used to do it all the time when I first got the old E93 (came from an A4 and you had to press the unlock button twice to open all the doors, once click only opened the drivers door.

On my Lci M3 I can select the 2 click function similar to the Audi. One click opens just the drivers door, second click opens the rest of the doors and the boot.
