I already have one and they are great... but before you order, talk to bmw as they are bringing out a new design this year which has more functions. I recently read about it in a bmw magazine... sorry but I forget which one.

i think i saw the new one ( in pics) and personally i like the current one better as in the new one th display is too tacky for my taste as its spread all over the top of the wheel but in any case thanks for the info. Well there are two of us who want to get it and we are looking for more people interested to get it .

Yeah, I think the same thing...the new one is too tacky. The old design matches in illumination and just looks more low key and integrated overall.

I like old one design for more OEM look but I wish I have:
1. Exact rpm display on top line and current speed display on the bottom.
2. Full leather instead of Alcantera.

Then I'll really love it.

I like the old design better. Is it a thicker wheel, or just the material?

Sounds funny because it's exactly what it looks like, especially after a few thousand miles of use. But independent of alcantara, that new steering wheel looks awful ; it belongs on a video game IMO, but to each his own. Plus the flat bottom just doesn't do it for me either.

was it you that called it rat hair? i can't remember. haha. anyway, yeah i don't mind the flat bottom, but the alcanatara may make me hesitate again. it's the reason i didn't buy the first version of the perf. wheel.

EAS offers some really cool custom performance wheels that are finished in leather, but they are pricey.

I want all leather too. It's probably the main reason why I still have my OEM.
