Depends on the damage done. Most cases require a new engine.
Did your engine ALSO suffer bearing failure?
Sucks this is your first post.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

52000miles and so far jus evidence of bearings damaged. Haven't fully pulled the engine yet. Have a parts list that come up to almost 7k and I'm getting a engine for 8500 strip engine

Sorry to hear it man! As stated, before it really depends if the block is still usable or not.

Sorry to hear about your engine.

I'd get a used motor, put in new BE bearings (www.bebearings.com) with new rod bolts, and call it a day.

Make sure to flush the oil cooler out so any metal bits are out of there, regardless if you rebuild what you have or get a used engine.

You should be able to offset some costs by selling the head or the entire old engine.

Check the condition of the crank and go from there. Sometimes you get lucky..

I have a 2013 motor with 20k miles pulled out of a non collision car for sale. I'm not sure on shipping to Jamaica but it may be an alternative for you

Sorry for your loss... My engine grenaded at about the same mileage as yours... Mine is also 08... If the crank and pistons are not scored or damaged by the metal pieces you should be able to just swap the bearings out- keeping in mind that you will need to flush the metal out of the oil system and cooler... Probably just easier to swap with a used motor and upgrade bearings on new engine...

It's hard to find someone even in the states to properly rebuild the s65. As mentioned, get a good used motor and replace the bearings.

Low miles and takes good care of hm..

Have you checked the bearings yet? My guess is you only had one bad rod bearing that caused it to fail, sometimes the individual oil pumps fail and it didn't get lubricated? That's what happen to my friends 08 Jerez black e92 with 60k miles. Fortunetly his cam shaft wasn't damaged. Paid $3800 instead of paying 10k plus ya know.

It's basically a hit and miss with 08 m3s. They didn't get their crap together until late 2010's even then there were still other failures but decreased problems compare to the last couple of years prior to them
