Depends which CG product. I've used Zaino and was never impressed with the shine. You can get better results as you add on the layers but it was very shallow. I was impressed with the longevity of it however.

I switched to Jetseal 109 and 5050 and won't be going back to Zaino. I like the shine and the durability is pretty good, though I haven't let it go without touchup as long as Zaino. The shine is a lot better and I like the application better. Give Paul at CG a call and let him trash talk Zaino for you.

As a former pro detailer, Zaino is great for protecting your paint and as someone earlier said lasting a long time with little maintenance. I never had a problem with the shine. But, I have heard nothing but good things about CG. So I would say either way you can't go wrong....

Cheers,

can't go wrong either way...on my sapphire black M5, i have used zaino exclusively and not one swirl...and i just used the Z-PC for a few scratches from a careless friend getting his golf clubs out of the trunk...amazing results...

I'm a big fan of Meguiar's...extremely impressed with their #21 synthetic sealant.

Ive used Zaino on my Jet Black e90 for about 3 years now and it still looks brand new not even one swirl mark. Then again im paranoid on how i wash the car as well. I plan use the same on my new aw e92 m3. The shine wont be as good as black though...Never used CG

i used to use only zaino on the cars i detailed. i LOVED the way the water beaded and it protected great, but the paint always looked too mirror like and not very deep. now i use strictly carnauba waxes (CG, Swissvax, Dodo, Rubbish boys, etc...) and i am much happier with the appearance of the paint, however these waxes do not last nearly as long as a coat of zaino would...
