Dinan intake and pully for 2010+ M3?
Not sure if anyone else has had trouble getting a response from Dinan (I have left 4 massages without a return!). I am wondering if the intake and pully will fit and be appropriate for a 2010+ M3. The website is not clear about this, and yes I have used the "search" on this forum. The dealer in my area did not know anything about it... lame
Thanks in advance! |

Not sure about 2010 cars, but on 2011 cars it was reported that the Dinan pulley would not work:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...9&postcount=25 IIRC the OP was asked what didn't fit and I believe it was the belt was different. |

I know from experiance that the pulley belt is a PIA to get on. A PIA to the point were it seems like its the wrong belt and it wont fit.

I have the Dinan pulleys on my 2010 e90 m3. I guess i like it but for the money it cost to buy and install it, i dont think its worth it. Should have saved up for the midpipe...

if you are going for straight power and amazing sound and no drone i think the midpipe is much better money spent then the pulley and intake. i have them but if to do it over and only choose one the midpipe it would be

The pulley wouldn't fit my 2011, so I did the Rogue. I've heard that with herculean efforts it will go on but clearly isn't right. They don't have the right belt. Dinan should just come clean on this, list the product as only fitting pre-2011 cars and source a new belt.

that do come clean on anything in regards to a pulley. on there site they don't list any pulley for 2011 etc misleading anyone
also did you do the install yourself?? if your not a bmw tech then to just say it doesn't fit etc isn't fair bc it just may fit. it has been known that they are a bitch to put on. i know mine was but it was the correct pulley for my car Quote:

We had a bit of trouble installing the Dinan on a MY11 ZCP - the belt is a VERY tight fit, with the tensioner being bottomed out to slip on.
There have not been any issues with the Macht Schnell pulleys or Rogue setups. However, the rotational assembly on the MY11 engine is the same.

do more CORRECT research and you'll find out that you're basically paying for proper R&D and the most reliable pulley kit that has a real warranty.

Correct - you're freeing up HP that is already present (parasitic drag), not adding.

Their website specifically shows only up to 2009 for the pulley. Wether or not they just didn't update their website I don't know.

I have installed the pulley's, intake and exhaust on my M3 2011. No issues. However, we are having issues with the software. We are doing another flash today as I continue to get a CEL. Last edited by ASU; 07-21-2010 at 02:41 PM.. |

I was informed by Dinan that none of there parts were tested on 2010. The pulley does not work due to different belt size, ecu is locked by BMW, and I do have there intake and it fits but it does not have the eoropean spec filter so it doesnt hook up the air box plunger, how ever they are providing a spacer to fix this issue in there kits being shipped now.

do you realize all the pulley's are about the same price?? prob not you just prob assumed Dinan's is more money right?? i would rather pay $50 more for the Dinan one and keep my warranty
seems you need to do some research, bc your paying for a name that does more R&D then any company i know before releasing a product and has been around longer then any other tuner company i know for the M3
