I feel the same about feeling the impacts a little more, but I went from 18's to 19's.

For the guys who have had these for a while, how long does it take for these to break in?
I've only got about 100 miles on mine right now, so they feel a little greasy still.

Look awesome, can you post a pic of fronts/rears from side, I'd like to see how they fill up the wheel well vs 40 profile stocks . I'm def going to pull the trigger on these.

I think Paddy was asking for 18-inchers, which are 40 aspect ratios.

At any rate, I'm very happy with the Vreds (255/35 and 275/35-19), but it's only been a few days, and about 100 miles. They're obviously not broken in yet, and pavement temps are very cold, but they are certainly equal to PS2s in those conditions so far.

Ride quality is very good, and I don't notice what some have described as a bit of a harsher ride as a result of a stiffer sidewall. That could well be because I have them on an E93, with 400 more lbs. of bulk.

I can't comment on grip yet in these weather conditions. That will be TBD, but others in more temperate climates are saying they think the grip is equal, rain performance is better, and turn-in is crisper.

yes indeed I was, Vreds don't come in stock 245/18/40 265/18/40, so I wanted to see 255/18/35 and 275/18/35 (dandekers setup) , but it's always nice to look at other folks setup :-)

245 x .40 = 98mm
255 x .35 = 89.25mm

265 x .40 = 106mm
275 x .35 = 96.25mm

Answer: it's not going to fill up the wheel wells as well as the OEM 18s, but it will be a tad lower. However, a ~10mm shorter sidewall is close to round-off error. The good news is you have 10mm more rubber on the pavement.

I agree that the ride is a little more harsh and noisy on less than perfect pavement. That said, it has been very cold for ATL since I mounted these tires. We have gone several days without getting out of the 20's. I'm interested to see how they'll do on a warm day. Only have about 150 miles on them, no where near broken in yet.

I'll take better pics tomorrow. These are 255/35/18 and 275/35/18's. They don't fill up the wheel well as much as the 40 profile PS2's ...

anyone know if 275 35 will fit with H&R drop, offset 19x10 +25 and 15mm spacers? or do I have to go with 275 30?

Yea, both of those tire and wheel fitment combinations are going to be a problem. (clearance wise)

Your 15mm spacers are pushing the rear wheels out too much, and a 275/35/19 tire will rub with an effective offset of +10 on the 19x10 (+25) wheels. The drop of the H&R sport lowering springs makes this a very bad idea. You will end up cutting a tire with your rear fender lip...

The +10 rear offset is too aggressive...

Even a 275/30/19 tire won't be a safe bet, when the rear shocks compress under full suspension travel.

My advice:

Ditch the 15mm spacers, and go with 5mm spacers on the rear wheels instead.

This will give you an effective offset of +20 on the 19x10 wheels, which will allow you to use the 275/35/19 tires without having any rubbing issues with the fender. (when factoring in the drop of the H&R sport lowering springs)

500 miles on mine now (255 & 275/35-19). Lot of wet conditions and they are very good in those. Still slowly working up to the limits.
