Sorry for the delay - I am using KW Variant 3 coilovers. Long story short - originally, I had ordered EDC on my car, but the dealer (actually, not MY dealer - they didn't have access to the BMW Individual program, but they also own the two BMW dealerships in Calgary, so they order their Individual cars through these dealerships) missed it on the order sheet. As such, I got them to install the KWs. So far, so good. I actually had purchased H&R sport springs to go on the car, and could have simply used these, but once EDC wasn't on it, I figured what do I have to lose?

I was taking some pics for a friend who is considering Azurite Black for his car, and thought it might be a good idea to update this post, as there were a couple of people looking for more detailed pics of this colour.
Please forgive me - the car is not perfectly clean, and due to a dealer misunderstanding (they washed my car when I asked them not to), there are a few swirls on the paint). No big deal - I usually do a full, two-day pre-winter storage paint prep work procedure. This year, I was kind of caught out by winter, though, so it looks like this may have to wait until the spring. Like I said, Azurite is very difficult to photograph. To many, it will look JUST like Jerez, but it is not. The flakes are more pronounced, the blue is deeper, and the colour...... glows..... for lack of a better term, more than Jerez. I is probably closer to Carbon Black, but with larger metallic flake. Hope a few of you at least enjoy the new pics....

From your comments it seems it is more of a blue than Jerez (or less black than Jerez). Is this correct? What interior did you go with? I was thinking Fox Red but also Rust Brown. Given you went through the individual colours thought process I assume you also looked at the Individual interior colours. Did you and what are your thoughts now that you have had your car for almost a year? I realize colour is a personal decision but your opinion would be appreciated as it obvious you have good taste. Great looking car. Last edited by ASU; 03-04-2010 at 02:18 PM.. |

The pic above has been the wallpaper on my home laptop since you first started this thread. Love the stance and P43's. In terms of color, I have always loved black - which is why I bought a vomit green Subaru
Props on the car; she is a real head-turner!

Thanks for the comments, all! I thought this thread had died a death....
Almost one year later, I am still loving this car/colour.... now, if spring would come early, and I could get the car out of storage, I'd be a VERY happy dude... Thanks again - always great to get feedback
