Headlight lens only replacement

Anyone here replaced just the clear plastic lens cover on the headlights? Tried the to no avail. Just wondering as mine have accumulated a few chips etc. Don't really want to resurface them as they won't look as good as new. I know very anal, but please bear with me. Thanks in advance.

One nice thing about the E46 M3 was the lens was replaceable. I don't know about our cars. I guess I'm glad I VentureShield protected them.

Lenses are sealed and must be baked free to remove. BMW does not offer replacement lenses.

+1 Lenses are complete with the headlights but you can purchase a headlight restore kit to refinish your OEMs.

This sucks. I better tint my lenses soon before the rocks damage them. This is bad designing from BMW... The e46's lenses were around $125 and you can replace them so easy.

Just had the 3M material put on yesterday. I purchased the car with 400 miles on it and not too much care was taken in preventing chips. The film makes the imperfections disappear, but I know the nicks are there and it just bugs me a little. Oh well.

I didn't know that.. Too bad in a way, but I'm sure it helps to keep moisture out.

This will probably be my only viable option.

I saw a set of new lens on eBay for $200. Seems a bit high but maybe someone makes them now.

Anyone have a headlight restoration kit they have used with success or they prefer?
