Stupid squeek

Took my m3 in for its 1200 mile service and mentioned this really annoying squeak (kinda like the noise an old mattress makes when you sit on it) coming from the rear/ trunk area... Dealer is trying to figure out what is causing it but no luck so far. Anyone have any suggestions???? I never had an issue like this with my 08....

i have an annoying squeak from the rear window (bottom corner area) and it's the rear plastic vent rubbing against something. If you wedge a small towel against the window it should stop the noise.

The next time i take the car into the dealer i'm going to ask them to look at it. I believe you can remove that section and apply felt to it to stop the noise

Is the noise as you get in and out of the car or while driving?

while driving, not even aggressively, just cruising.... I have to roll down the windows or turn on the radio so I don't hear it.

Now is it really a squeak? Because the first thing I noticed about most M cars is that they make a lot of different noises, compared to "normal" cars, especially when new. Sometimes you gotta wait them out if no issues found.

I don't think mine is coming from the rear window but I'll tell them to check it out! Thanks

Sounds like bushing noise, possibly rear sway bar. I'm not thinking chassis flex/interior plastic.

It could be caused by car washing/wax material that dried up on door seals. Had it happen on mine. Dealer lubed it and the noise went away.

This...this creak is usually called the pirate ship syndrome.

Most probably M3 differential noise that's causing it.
