Nice one!
Have to tell us how acceleration feels through the gears between the 1M and a MT M3. 1M is obviously punchy in-gear at low rpms. Have only compared my DCT to a friends 1M, so would like to know from a MT M3 perspective. Cheers. |

Well I traded in early december here in Montreal so I have only driven it 600 km or so. The 1M was flashed with ESS software stage 1.5 , that did no require any exhaust mods so the car was stock aside from H&R springs and thicker clutch stop . I did rev up the E92 without being to harsh , but my understanding from the dealer is that it is remapped after the 1200 mile maintenance and that beforehand it does not have full power. Is this correct ??
Anyhow, from what i gather to date, the 1M was clearly faster up to ridiculous speeds . Now , that beeing said, when the break in is done I will be better placed to say . Though the flashed 1M running on 94 octane was a monster. I did rev the E92 high but WITHOUT going WOT...... so it is hard to say. Allthough I must give props to the old E46 you can see in one of the pictures..... At 175 000 km , with all new vanos and liquids, feels very fast here in the wintertime!!!! Meanwhile the E92 sleeps till april/march ! |

All 4 tires were dead, there was a dent in the front bumper , the oil change was due and the pads were next . One of the wheels needed refurbishing. |

I could have gotten maybe 55 000$ for the 1M beeing patient..... There were plenty of " cleaner than mine" items for sale on the web with similar or lower mileage at 50 000 - 60 000$ . So 50 000 at the dealer was good for me . |

Wait a second-this is a brand new car and the dealer wrapped the hood and trunk and the roof? Assume no carbon fiber roof than or else silly to wrap and cover it.
Bizarre dealer |
