How can you consider the buyers suckers?
This was truly a great deal offered by BMW of a very limited car with NO MARKUP!
I'm selling 2011 1M coupes for anywhere from $5k-$7.5k over MSRP.
Do you consider those buyers suckers for paying the market adjusted price for something that is going to be limited?
This M3 is even more exclusive... Yet there was no mark up over MSRP.
Killer deal IMO
Yes.

Thus should be a wake up call to BMW. If 20 of these sell out in a matter of minutes there is obviously a demand for matte finishes. If the frozen finish was a $5k option, they would have just racked up $100k from paint.
Helllllllo BMW. You could definitely be making some more profits by offering these as regular options.
How about some alcantara interior or leather wrapped dashes next?

Many would be in matte black and it will not be special anymore. They sell fast because it is special and only 20 of them. What you expect?

I don't have this noose either but my car has less than 4,000 miles on it. I can imagine what impression your passengers may have about BMW after riding in your car.

On another note, I don't think the OP was hard to read because he wrote it well. However, is it necessary to quote the OP on the fourth post? Maybe it is the fact that I'm using the iPhone app and had to scroll bit really.

Yes, they are very much so. The 1M is not limited edition as BMW stated very clearly that they will build as many as the demand will ask for. What is limited is the time period to be sold (until December)

Pricing mark up is what a dealer impose, manufacturers pricing is a suggestion.

This is not the forum for you, dude. We have some really serious sponsor dealers here that will gangbang you in pricing in no time -not that they would like to do that, but it will feel like it.

I'm with the rest of you who don't get the matte black finish. Looks like a cheap Maaco paint job gone bad, if you ask me. Then again, I've never really quite understood the whole blackout look.

I have the frozen black m3 and it's really not that hard to clean at all... I just use a hose, microfiber cloth, and this air dryer from metro vac and it take me about an hour... I don't really understand all the hate the car looks nice and the pic don't do it justice.... matter fact all bmw m3's look nice regardless the color but I guess to each their own...:-)

Excerpt from BMW:
"The special BMW Individual matte paintwork on the Frozen Black Edition M3 adds a rare metallic luster to the vehicle. Compared to conventional exterior colors with gloss finish, the sculpture-like character of Frozen Black paint highlights the athletic contours of the M3. To achieve this luster, a special BMW-developed silk matte clear coat is applied over the Black Metallic base coat."
jesus!! what the hell kinda aweful wheels on an m3 are those?! ahhhhhhhhh!!!

I was at a Panera Bread in Glen Burnie, Md and saw a M3 Frozen Black clone---it was a M3 clone with hood bump, rear bumper, quad tailpipes, diff rims, but, you could tell it was no M3 (if the owner is reading this, you can tell from afar---and I'm not telling what it was)...

Clean, very clean. Nicely done

Did you choose the spacer set up or was it recommended?

Looks a little too punched out IMO- any rubbing?

I like the stitching, but it just doesn't warrant that mark up.

Spotted this Frozen Black ///M3 in Johannesburg yesterday. Looks great in the flesh. Was in a rush to get dad a juicy T-Bone for fathers day, so no Camera or interior shots :-(
