'08 M3 sedan with 20k miles - yay or nay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/08-BM...item3a5ac53c2d
Car is local. What I noticed is that it says that the car was brought back by BMWNA due to rough idle etc. Car is a lemon perhaps? What should the price be at to be "reasonable" $40k? I wouldn't mind adding an '08 sedan in the stable at that price but not to give up realiability and piece of mind. |

IMO, stay away. You can find a no baggage used E90 that you will be happy with. Why roll the dice on this one?

The price is ok, much more reasonable compared to some dealerships. (some dealership tried to sell me one for 59k that had about 13k miles on it). Sounds like a lemon law car...
If you can afford to pay a little more, I'd look at some other car but otherwise, its not that bad of a deal IMO. Atleast its local, saves you the gas and trouble of driving back from far off place lol |

Check out the warranty stuff, make sure it is not lemon. Do you have a chance to test drive?

We'll see, if it's a lemon law car, I don't think the car is fully fixed by the dealer as if it was then BMWNA wouldn't have bought the car back however, it wouldn't be put back to the market if BMWNA didn't solve the problem themselves. |

For what its worth, at least they are upfront about addressing the issue. I've noticed that some Ebay listings have titles that clearly denote vehicle damage, and the dealer says that the car is pristine, with no known issues.
That really kills me. At least some dealers are upfront about a car's history, while others are less than straight-forward. Just my observation. Martin |
