UOA from track only M3

Hello guys

I attached engine oil analysis report here not in oil&fluid section, because my e92 M3(2011 LCI w/ DCT) is track only car. So I want to listen advice from the owners who go to track frequently.

My M3' engine experienced rod bearing failure and had replacement with new engine at 29300km(18200mile). After bad experience, I send an used engine oil to BSL in every 3~5 track days.

My M3 became track only car at 30000km(18600mile after engine replacement).
And, I replaced stock rod bearings with VAC's + ARP bolts at 58000km(36000mile after engine replacement).

I think Aluminium is always little high.
Does track car usually show the result like this?

(The latest UOA(3/5/2018) is the result after 8~9 track days.)

% all mileage of report are 'km', not mile.
Right on the red line => Liqui Moly 10W60
Left on the red line => Redline 5W50
Blue circle => about 1000km break in UOA after rod bearing replacement

Probably not bearing related. Maybe just normal wear of aluminum components like the oil pump.

It's above average for your particular motor, but it's just a single increase. Keep an eye on it for the next time. Could just be something stupid like particle streaking (false positive).

The low flashpoint is a bit odd.

Thanks for your advice.
Oil pump...I didn't think about it. Thanks.
If that doesn't come from cylinder wall scratch, I'm a little less worried.

Just in my experience, If driving at the track, engine oil should be changed below 3~5 trackday and 6month. This is Just my opinion.

What evidence are you seeing that is leading you to form that opinion? Based on your UOA history, it seems like the oil can probably go longer.

Yes, I understand that. To be more direct: what in the above report is convincing you that you need such a short change interval?

I track the snot out of mine, but I only have about 35,000 miles on it. Car has the stock BMW bearings on it, of the second generation.

My numbers are in line with yours except my molybendium and boron is a lot lower (like, 100 and 20) and my titanium and magnesium run higher (like, 25 and 20).

Blackstone has consistently told me that I'm close to the universal averages for this class of motor and there's nothing to be worried about.

My oil change interval is twice a year, which works out to about 4,000 miles and 15 track days.

I've seen higher than normal aluminum doing UOAs after tracking. According to Blackstone, it's likely indicative of some piston wear from running the engine hard. They didn't seem concerned about it, only mentioned it since it spiked from my last UOA.

15 track days on a S54. They didn't like that. I'll stick with 6 days from now on.

Moly, boron, titanium, and magnesium are oil additives. You will see variation depending on which specific oil you use and how much top-up oil you've added.

Interesting that Redline oil had more moly in it than Liqui-moly oil...

I'd ask Redline what they think. They were good about answering questions when I raced and used their oil.
