GOLFFRR, I'm curious to know the difference between the AKRA EVO and the MRF Full exhaust? Which one do you feel is more powerful?

To be honest they both felt about the same. However the akra evo with the tune was night and day different and a lot more fun to drive. To be fair though I didn't have a tune when I ran the MRF so in that aspect I can't compare.

Most full exhaust systems are going to basically have the same power, just comes down to what sound you like the best and also the weight.

All I can say is the akra evo + ESS tune to me was a great choice, and I was happy I made it.

Ok, another question? Have you ever had the RPI full system? If you did, how did you like that one?

Well as you know anytime you mod your car your warranty will be in question and you are running a risk (always mod at your own risk) however with the eflash set up you can flash it back to stock and "should" be ok. I can't guarantee you will be safe but from what I have read on the forums there are some dealers out there that won't give you to much hassle on certain mods.

As far as the difference being noticeable yes, VERY noticeable. the car really pulled and was a lot more throttle responsive. I have had 3 other e92M3 so I had a little bit of a history to compare the differences and I would highly recommend going to the tune.

Dont remove your top speed limiter

Dont increase your rev limit

Don't remove cold start(debatable)

These are three easiest ways for BMW to see if you have had a tune. So if you flash back to stock, there should be no red flags whatsoever.

Can BMW see the tune if you don't drive the car passed the rev limit or top speed? It would probably be easy to exceed the rev limiter via tune, however, the top speed (whatever that is) is not something that would happen everyday.

From what I understand and read from the more knowledgable individuals on this forum (tuners themselves). If those specs are exceeded it is an easy way to tell if you have a tune. Now if you have the options and dont exceed them same principle applies. However if you hit 8600 rpm due to the rev limit removed or exceed your top speed... then it will store in the ecu. Now I have also heard this applies to cold start removal and O2 readiness being set to ok even if you are cat less.

Makes sense. I was wondering about the O2 readiness light when you show up to the dealership with an Akra Evo and the light is off....

Does the ESS Akra tune increase the rev limit or remove top speed limiter?
Or is this something that you have to specifically ask for?

^Like all tunes you can custom them to fit your needs Im sure. when you order it just let whoever your ordering it from know what your looking for and they will let AJ@ESS know and he would most likely make the tune based on your needs.

It is not about the light on the dash. ESS's tune doesn't show the O2 sensors being ready(when being checked for smog) vs Evolve which does. ESS I believe utilizes a different approach. Either way, you want to flash back to stock before going to a dealer.
