19x10 GTS Wheels Squared
The car is a 2013 E93, non-ZCP (LMB) - I'm running Ohlins R&T w/ Vorschlag camber plates. I've been wanting to switch to a square set up and just ordered 4 x black M3 GTS wheels (19 x 10 - ET25) from Turner...
After searching through a bunch of threads, it looks like 275/30/19 is the consensus tire size for this set up. Anyone running this combination have any thoughts? Given the chance to do it over again would you go with a different tire size? Were spacers required for it to look decent? Thanks for any input/pictures/advice. Will post before/after pics once they're installed... (Before pics: post 14, Installed pics: post 17) --EW Last edited by Elwolfe; 06-20-2016 at 05:14 PM.. |

That's pretty much the optimal size so you don't rub. I'm sure people have experimented around, but that honestly depends on the wheel size and offset, too. For what you have, I'd say you're right on the money

With a squared setup, the rears will look slightly sunken in comparison to the fronts. Depending on your setup for camber and tires, you could go with something between 10-15mm spacers to make it look even like the fronts.
Running square tires is obviously helpful to rotate and/or flip, if applicable, but you may also consider running a slightly staggered tire setup like 275/30 fronts and 295/30 rears, for example. |

I run 265 square with a 10mm spacer in the back. Rubs in the front but i dint have camber plates. Sport Cup 2s run wide so a 275 should fit. If you want to cancel your order ill sell you my set. They're for sale on here haha. Pretty much brand new too!

I run GTS wheels with 275-30s all around. I have a 15mm spacer in the rear, no rubbing on OEM suspension. I felt it needed spacers to complete the look. Just wish my front was a touch lower.

Thanks for the the info everyone. I kind of thought rear spacers might be needed... I should have the wheels on the car by end of next week or so, and will decide how much spacer I need then.
Bhup, I checked out your build thread pics and I think I'm going to be pretty happy with this decision... Nice looking car you have there. |

Can someone post this setup?
I have 12.5 turner spacers (because Macht Schnell is a garbage company with dangerous spacers) on 275 PSS rears and they don't rub with driver only. Only with a couple passengers they rub. But I would like to see how spacer free M359 rears would look on the front. |

Hmm....A member is selling this set up and his post history showed something not so good about this set up. standard rear ZCP on 265 tires which is even smaller than the 275 people are talking about here.
I know this member was lowered but this damage is expensive. |

^I saw that when I was searching for info on this.... IIRC, that happened during a track day after some pretty good kerbing. I seem to think there were some other mitigating circumstances too, don't remember the details though.

You are correct, the amount of force via an impulse application required for that sort of damage is, notable. I ran my previous square setup for 20k miles without incident. Current E92 has a square setup but is driven something like 300 miles/year, heh.

Here are some pics of the new wheels installed. Conti DW 275/30/19 all around, no spacers... As some others have mentioned, the extra traction on the front can make it feel a bit "twitchier" on the straights, but it certainly goes around corners nicely. I find that hitting the M button and engaging servotronic steering smooths it out a bit. Very happy with my decision.

Well done! This is the exact setup I'm waiting to run once my front tires are done. The 10" square, 10-12mm spacer rear, and 275/30 is the trick to make it all work.
