Matte Black SLR
I saw a matte black SLR today on the street. Didn't have a chance to take a photo and can't find it online It looked exactly like SLR 722 (http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/07/11...r-mclaren-722/) but had only the SLR badge on the back left side and a smaller name badge on the left fender that I couldn't read. Made me realize how empty the life of a middle class American can be

A few matte black SLR's rolling around the LA area. Couple of the owners are on 6speedonline, one of the matte black SLR's has or had blue wheels.

YES! That was it! I knew someone else must have seen that car around. It was attracting much more attention that the average Lambo/Ferrari/AM!

Pretty sure that SLR you're talking about is owned by a member of the Dole (as in pineapple) family.
I've seen it around Wilshire a few times, and parked over by Le Petit Four on Sunset (awesome restaurant)

Yeah that's where I saw it. Wilshire @ Westwood. Do you know where I can find pics of it online, if there are any?

Such an ugly car. Used to see them often near my place in Seattle, haven't seen a single one down here in Portland. Amazing hp and "status" I suppose but... blah. I find it so funny that the black matte look, that originated on beaters that couldn't afford a new paint job has now made it to high-end status and is on everything from SLR's to Lambo's to GTRs.
