Quick lease question

Hey guys,
This might be a stupid question, but I don't have much experience with leases...
Basically, what I want to know is if residual is calculated based on MSRP or actual price payed, 'cause I was looking into lease rates via an online calculator and they were calculating the residual value based on the MSRP, which is certainly a better deal... so will this be the case with BMW Financial?

Residual is based on MSRP (including guzzler tax and destination)
