vehical inspection

just moved to VA. Looking for some info. I have to register the M3 and my wifes 335i. they say I have to get a vehicle inspection first. Do I just do this at any inspection place? are there ones that are better than others? No mods on either cars so I am not worried about it, just dont want some jack bill messing with my cars.

Thanks.

Also any independent shop will do this...Around here in California it's about 50 bucks or so.

its a safety inspection whicjh can be done at most service stations and is done while you wait, never had any problems. you also have to get emissions done as well so find a shop that does both at one time. the emissions are sent to mva electronically. don't worry, they are not going to hop in your care for a test drive.

I had my m3 inspected at Fairfax BMW. I have DCT and didn't wanna risk the gas station mechanics trying to figure it out.
