Hit some road debris.

Got me on the right hand side. Scraped the bottom of the front spoiler and broke off that side of the airdam. The plastic cover in the wheel well had some of the screw holes broken off as well. Pics Below.

The airdam looks to be three pieces (thankfully), and the plastic wheel well cover will likely need to be replaced since the screw holes are broke. No structural damage to the front spoiler -- only a scrape underneath.

Would you all happen to know what the part numbers are for the right side airdam and cover? And how much they normally cost?

Any help would be appreciated... I would rather not go to the dealership and get gouged for such a simple job.

I can sympathize with you after a recent meeting with something on the road - never saw it before, or after. Happen at night on the interstate, 74 mph.
Result, one new rim, and two new front PS2 tires. Good luck on your repairs(s).

What part number does the first pic look like?

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E9...trim_front/#08

Thinking #8, but it seems off.... Or maybe #11? Seems longer than the diagram shows though.

Thanks for all of your help everyone.

Did you carefully check all surrounding parts (including bottom of bumper) to make sure nothing else is broken? You should do that before ordering anything. And remember most of the clips are not included with the parts. Good luck.

+1

I know the feeling guy, my last road hazard on the road cost me a new bumper and all engine access covers under the car, it even did damage under the rear of the car on the way out. Make sure you check the rear of your car just in case. Good luck with your repair.

Thank you for the note. Yep, I checked the car. The front bumper has a good size scrape underneath which the pic shows. It will see touch up paint... Not "physical" damage, only cosmetic.

How do I ensure I get all of the clips and screws? That was one thing I was concerned about.

Good news. The dealer has them for $39.

It's little bit more expensive, but I won't have to pay for shipping. Now I just need to get an idea of the bolts and clips.

I actually just did a full replacement job by myself for the shields underneath. (left, right and the large center one).

Drove the car onto ramps to raise front end and just removed the bolts, took 30min.

I ordered the parts from getBMWparts.com and looked up the part numbers on realoem.com

Sorry to hear about that. BTW, is this part supposed to be covered in cloth, like mine?
