M3 over a 5.0

So I had my 2013 5.0 for a month now but I also like the m3 a lot.is it worth it even if it's used m3. im looking at a 2009 or 10 m3 not sure what if it's worth it. Is there anybody that owned them both and tell me what your opionion is on trading a 5.0 for an m3

I test drove the Mustang (the GT 5.0 and the GT500...couldn't get my hands on Boss) when I was shopping for a car last year. I really thought I wanted a new mustang, however after driving the stangs, Cayman s, and M3 back to back I found that the bimmer had more of what I wanted than the other 3 cars. The e9x M3 really is a German muscle car with more polish and refinement than what is in the mustang.

By no means am I knocking the mustang. I truly think it's a great car. However the M3 is still a step up in all the areas that were meaningful to me.

Don't hesitate to buy a quality used M3. There are some great cars for sale out there at substantial discounts to their original 'new' selling price.

Good luck,
Chief

The m3 will be slower and harder to mod.

Don't forget the 2001-2006 E46 M3 or 2006-2008 Z4MC or even a 2009-2010 Z4 35is. All very nice cars. Just keep your options open.

If I had to do it again I would probably go 2012 Z4 35is over E92 M3.

I haven't owned a Mustang but my understanding is that the performance will be very similar. Although, your Mustang may feel faster. The M3 has a way of delivering the power so smoothly and linearly that it doesn't feel fast (the speedo will be your only clue!).

The biggest differences will be in quality, comfort, aesthetics, etc. All of the non-performance stuff. The M3 is the hands down winner here.

If the Mustang doesn't cut it for you in the non-performance areas, I say go for it. It's not worth any other way.
