Before 1,200 mile service, AFE filter?

Hello,

Since I haven't reached 1,200 mile service yet, I was just wondering if I should wait until I get first service done or put the AFE filter now?
Will service tech guy open the filter box during 1,200 mile service?
Don't want hear from my SA saying "your filter isn't oem blah blah blah.."

Thanks!

Which is funny anyway because I don't think they would flip the bill on themselves to replace a paper filter at only 1k miles....but you never know

I would wait since it take a couple of min to install, however I did take my car in for the first service with the AA Exhaust and nothing was said or mentioned.

It couldn't hurt to wait, a replacement filter is pretty benign but it's a simple swap so might as well wait for the car to be fully broken in.
