Hello,

I can't send PM's yet because I have not enough posts.
I'd like to know a little more about the B&B system.
How loud is it compared to OEM, is it a good exhaust for a DD, craftsmanship etc..
It would be great if you could share a few of your impressions about this system.

I've seen you're appx. 70 miles from where I live, I'd like to hear it in person....would that be possible?

Thanks

Thanks

Alex

I'm very satisfied with my B&B bolt-on cat-back system. IMHO the OEM is much too quiet unless at WOT, B&B has a nice low end rumble without being obnoxious. You can hear it from inside the car much more than OEM. It's loudest at 1900-2900 rpm. Over 3000 rpm it's not really noticeable unless you accelerate hard. Fit and finish are very nice and it looks great on the car.

Technician at my BMW shop says it's the best sounding M3 he's seen. I also got lots of compliments at Grattan acouple weeks ago.

I don;t know where you are but I'll be in Lansing tonight and tomorrow if that's closer to you. I don't mind showing it at all.

Sweet, thanks for the quick feedback.

I'm looking around for a nice exhaust since weeks now, the hard part is that I'll move back to Germany with my car next year. Once in Germany the car has to pass the TUV test, they are very anal about volume, therefore the system shouldn't be much louder than OEM.

My "dream" exhaust should be like this:
- not too loud (the 30% over OEM you've mentioned should be ok).
- very deep tone (no high pitch screamer).
- super clean tone (not raspy) like a trumpet
- biggest increase in volume should be below 3k RPM's
- good craftsmanship
- no or very little drone

I think that gives you a good idea what I want, does the B&B system fit's my needs?

You said above 3.5k RPM's its hardly noticable, does it mean its more quiet than OEM or somewhat similar?

I'd love to hear it in person, however, I'm out of state this week...Lansing would not be too much of a drive....
Maybe we get together next week somewhere / somehow

Thanks again

Alex

The system by Bastuck has comes with the TUV paperwork that you will need when you are in Germany.

I'll have to 2nd this, the AE system sounds awesome. Here's some shots of the exhaust that just arrived at our place:

I love the fact that its a simple bolt-in installation, while still being competitively priced.

Hello Julius,

thats strange, I talked to Bastuck in Germany and they said that the clubsport does not pass the TUV, just the older one can design will....

Could you please take a photo/scan of the paperwork you're referring to and post it.....

Thanks in advance
