Random TPM Malfunction

Recently picked up a 2010 E92. Been doing alot of driving since I got it and I notice that the TPM malfunction warning comes up and goes away quite often.

First time it happened, I went ahead and reset the TPM thru the iDrive.
Second time it happened, I went to view the TPM status, and all the tires were shown greyed out. After a few mins of driving, the warning went away and the tires showed green.

Right now I don't think much of it, but just wondering if it's something that should be easily fixable on my own or should I take it to the dealership and have them resolve it?

I know this has been posted a while ago but wanted to ask the OP how you went around resolving this issue. Did the dealer resolve it for you or how did it go?

Those sensors are kinda fickle. I had a similar problem where one would occasionally go off above 70mph -- went back to Discount Tire, they replaced it, and problem solved.

I gotcha. Do you think I have a shot to present a case and have them fix it even though I did buy it used and left the lot? Obviously the sales guy told me everything is inspected before putting it on sale. I got the car at a BMW dealership too. If the odds are really against me then I'm not going to even bother calling them.
