I had an M Performance exhaust waiting for my e92 to arrive. The standard exhaust is too tame for me, this one is perfect! So exotic sounding, louder but still neighborhood friendly and zero drone.

what is the best exhaust option for a Cabrio?
since you already hear the exhaust more, it could be easy to make it too loud no?

Axle back it's a non-issue. More of a case could be made against cat back (increased/decreased load, ecu adapting, etc) but so many have done it without issue.

I had mine installed before I took ownership of the vehicle.

It's definitely louder than stock but at cruising speed it's quiet like stock and no drone at any speed. I would label it as a sport exhaust. I'm not sure of the db levels though. Step on it and she screams but doesn't get obnoxiously loud, it screams with class. The note is feakin beautiful!
