Cool 6 speed or SMG

Having driven my last three M3 in stick, I am itchy to order one in SMG which I have never tried. Lately, I test drove a 335 with pedal shift (even though it's not SMG) and kinda found it interesting because it's different. I am afraid that I may get tired of it after a while. Love to hear from someone who felt the same way...........

My last M3 was SMG... it was great technology and everything i loved the performance... But Stick has its own driving experience...

you might not ever get to drive smg if the persistent rumors of dsg are true.

Just took my 6MT for some drives this wkend... and I tell you MT has its own unique qualities that SMG/DSG couldn't even come close to emulate.

I can honestly say that if you had MTs in your previous cars you will sure miss it if you get any other.

I probably will get manual, though I would consider DSG-type, but not SMG. Not sure I would want first year of a new transmission, though.

+1

plus those paddles are maybe just a novelty and may soon get old after awhile for those hard core MT drivers out there
