Usually I can be found wearing one of these 3. (More often TAG and Cartier than the Vintage Breitling)

In today's economy its tough to find a good event/time to wear my really nice watches so they live in the safe.

I don't understand why people say that, with regards to the economy. I wear mine every day, I'm wearing it right now. How does the economy deter you from enjoying your time pieces?

After you have been held at gunpoint for your watch I have found myself a little bit more selective of where and when to wear my really nice watches (the ones that are worth 5 figure$)... Cost of city life I guess.

Besides why beat them up with daily wear and tear when I have the 3 shown above for that.

I haven't been held at gun point, but I was there when my mom's got stolen. It sure isn't pretty but it doesn't stop me from enjoying them

It's funny how many guys on here have Rolxes. I've been a watch collector for years and Rolex may look pretty, but actually made horribly. They use movements as bad as a $100 watch.

I'm usually sporting a vintage Omega Seamaster with .601 movement, vintage gold Hamilton, Movado Portico (daily wear), or Breitling Chronomat. Those seem to be the only watches I have been wearing lately.

It's funny how many guys on here have BMW M3s. I have been a car collector for years and can say that the BMW M3 may look pretty, but are actually made horribly. They use bad parts.

I'm usually driving a Toyota or Honda.

Did you take your Rolex off before you typed that? Don't want to damage the bottom of the band with your furious typing.

rolex uses bad parts? are you joking me....you sound so stupid you need to shut up...

I have a couple watches, my daily is a $150 dollar Diesel watch with a normal brown leather band. i love it...

I got a Brietling worth 8000 dollars with a full diamond face, got a nice discount on this, it was a bday gift for my 20th bday from my parents i never even wear it. i dont like it, its heavy, ill only wear it for real nice events... To the person saying you need to be real careful with these kind of watches is 100% right. You just dont want to be wearing a watch like this in the wrong neighborhood, or neck of woods. it will easily get you hurt or killed.

I also have another Rolex, worth about 4000 dollars, i like this watch it might not be the sickest watch, but its very reliable. It was a pass on from my dad who wore it for 6-7 years. I like this watch because its very classy, and doesnt attrack unwanted attention.

I have to admit, i really like my friends rolex submariner. Its got a silver outer band with a gold inner band. Its got a gold outer face with silver inner face. With a ruby at the 12 o clock, and 2 diamonds for 1 and 2 o clock, 4 and 5 oclock, 7 and 8 and 10 11.....

its a 12k watch its SICK!

Clearly you don't know what you are talking about. Im not a fan of Rolex and yes they aren't the holy grail of watches, however to say they are made horribly and they use the same movements as a $100 watch is as ignorant and incorrect statement as one could make. Rolex's in house movements are far superior to any base ETA or Valjoux movement and even many modified ones.

And you should probably check you're Omega for damage since its 316L bracelet is inferior to the 904 of a Rolex. Dumbass.

I've had the movement of a Date Just seize. After doing a bunch of research and talking with a couple of European specialists, they told me that it wasn't really uncommon. Only watch I've had that happen to. None of my vintage watches EVER have had their movements seize.

$100 was a bit of an exaggeration, but I'd take an Omega movement over a Rolex movement any day, even if the Rolex looks nicer. Not so sure I'd ever buy a Rolex again. That really put me off, especially since I know it wasn't abused. The watch was rarely worn. I have a Seasmaster about 35 years old and still keeps perfect time.

Were you the original owner or was the watch bought used?

Amongst others, a 18K white gold daytona. I don't wear it much as it's heavy and attracts unwanted attention.

my typical beaters are cheesy designer watches, bvlgari aluminium, hermes nomade, etc. I like my 40$ nike watch, also

I don't see what the deal is with all this rolex hate. There have been a few watches in my family that have been hand-me-downs; among them very old rolexes, which still perform flawlessly.
