I agree with Scrippy .
I didn't get my DATEN files from Bimmergeeks. The latest I have for E89 (e9x) is V67 https://www.bimmerscene.com/Thread-BMW-SP-DATEN-67-1

Okay, (going off memory here)
Assuming you have a quality cable... Installed the driver for it, with no errors in Device Manager. (I had issues with this and pulled the driver directly from ftdichip.com) Set your cable/drivers to com1 & proper speed. You installed standard tools with windows registry entries. Updated to v67 datens with bmw coding tool. Made sure that winfpk is set correctly. Made sure ediabas.ini is set to "std : odb" (no spaces) ... I read every thread multiple times that I could find relating to coding and updating DME/MDM/etc on multiple forums. Many many hours. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos. Finally solved the damn error 106 by updating daten files different ways that I found online. But now INPA is not recognizing any modules or any info, I do get the 2 blackout circles but thats it and I don’t want to launch WinKFP and start coding which I don’t think it will either way.

Everything is set up to COM1 under device manager and on Ediabas.ini and cable is set on the years that it needs to be. Cable is from OHP tools

Double check your latency setting on COM1 for you cable is set to 1ms, I've seen it change after windows updates every now and then.

Send me a PM I'll help you remotely flash this... There is a lot of non working software online, I'll get you setup properly with my own version & assist with flashing. TeamViewer & good internet is all you need. Edit: Just read you have OHPTools cable, if this cable has a white PCB board inside I do not advise any flashing with it.
