How do you clean your Akrapovic tips?

So I've never been much for cleaning my cars and I drive the M3 pretty hard. However, I've noticed that my akra tips a getting a little dingy.

Any ideas on what I should use to clean them off? WD40? After paying that much for the exhaust I don't really want them to get as nasty as the stock tips became.

Thanks in advance, JC

go and grab mothers metal polish or Never Dull.

Just use a microfiber towel and some mother's polish.
The key is to wipe the tips often so that the "black"
stuff that builds up on the tips doesnt sit for too long
because it will stain them if on for too long. (were talking like a month or two)

Abrasives - really? I thought the tips were coated in something. Is it really ok to use polish? That sure would be nice because using wd-40 and a sponge is a bit messy.

Steel wool will ruin the finish on the tips in a heartbeat.

WD-40 and a microfiber towel will keep the finish looking like new for years to come, it's what Akrapovic recommends.

I thought they were just polished metal, if they have a plated finish chrome etc, I agree don't go with the steel wool.

Thank you, I thought steel wool sounded like a terrible idea
