Lamborghini: 45 years of the raging bull

Lamborghini: 45 years of the raging bull

http://autos.sympatico.ca/photos-vid...he-raging-bull

The world owes the birth of Lamborghini to Enzo Ferrari and his snobbery. As the story goes, Ferrruccio Lamborghini, a successful tractor manufacturer in northern Italy, when to visit Enzo when he was having problems with the clutch of his Ferrari 250 GT. He came bringing advice for improvement but Enzo simply dismissed him. Lamborghini then came to the conclusion that Ferrari wasn’t doing anything that he himself couldn’t do better. The rest is a wonderful, sonorous V12 history.

I heard stories about these and infact Remo used to laugh around about it whenever I brought this up

But its official, lamborghini is ferrari's left nut

Drive one and you might change your mind.I have had that pleasure and I was very disapointed. The Galardo was the only Lambo that I have driven that I could actually enjoy and drive like a more normal car.The cars with the prancing horse drive a lot better and do not feel like a poorly put together kit car!

You know I never looked into this but why did they go to Audi to build their V10 in the Gallardo?

I cant remember, but I think the R8 is based on the Gallardo chassis and the V10 in the R8 is a detuned version of the lambos

The bold part I was aware of.

I just wasnt aware that Audi had some ownership in Lambo. Still interesting to see that Lambo used Audi for the engine...

Audi doesn't have some ownership in Lamborghini, they own all of it. Lamborghini is part of the VW group of companies (which also owns Audi).

Is this Remo Ferri you're talking about? You know him personally?

That guy is the man. He owns so many dealerships across Canada!

If so many = 6 then you would be correct, although "across Canada" is a little misleading

well who else owns that many dealerships? And they aren't just any normal dealerships, they are dealers of Ferrari/Maserati and BMW and MINI. I find that very impressive to be honest.

and yeah I guess across Canada is a bit misleading since the other ones are in Alberta

I was just busting. Yeah he has 5 in the gta and 1 in Calgary. You would actually be surprised owning 6 dealerships is really not that many this day in age. I definitely give him Kudos for being the Ferrari/Maserati importer for Canada though.

Infact the new store in woodbridge is built according to ferrari specs from maranello! Its beautifully done, and probably one of the best across NA.
I mean his old store on steels was just peanuts when compared to this one!

European AutoBody is partly owned by himself and the De Luca Family

Hmm, yes maybe ur right...i guess when audi came in the picture the lambos progressed.
The Diablo was the last of them lambos built with the passion, panache of the bull when it was a stand-alone company. I may have a change of heart when i drive the diablo, but the shape is just epic!

And ofcourse the ferrari drives better anydays, hence the comment in the beginning

Because ironically the 250GT during enzos time was and still is one of the best ferrari GT cars built to date and is the most EXPENSIVE used car to be ever sold!

http://www.luxist.com/2010/02/11/rar...ered-for-sale/

So I dont blame Enzo for making that comment anyways, because Ferruciuo Lamborghini deserved it

Agreed. Sitting in a Countach is even more intimidating. 0 visibility in the rear, very stiff clutch with tiny pedal, small seats, very stiff gear lever.

Miura is my favorite classic Lamborghini hands down. Miura Jota is a pretty cool and rare version
