Swift Spec R Springs

I've got a couple of quick questions for you guys on these springs.

1. Does anyone have these springs and run a 275-30-19 PSS up front on a ZCP car? And if so, what adjustments did you have to make or did you just do the alignment. Just upgraded to 275 from 265 today.

2. Is there a forum vendor that sells them or do I need to contact Swift USA?

Thanks for the help gang..........Phil

I'm going to be running this setup on my 19x9,5 ET22 HRE's. Don't foresee any problem, and planning on running stock camber.

I got mine from Harold at HP Autowerks. I've been running this setup for well over a year now.

So are you running the 275's now or planning to run them?.........Phil

Planning to run, but I don't expect any issues. If you look at Slicer's old car, he was running 275/30/18, but his car was way lower than my Swift springs.

Bump for more info......I'm about ready to pull the trigger on this. Just need to know for sure if it will work. I put my street wheels back on today and the 275 up front is really tight. W///, it looks like I'll have to be the crash test dummy for this if no one has this actual set up..............Phil

Well plenty of people have run 275/30/19 without a problem. It's more dependent on your wheel offset and alignment. Most people run this size and have coilovers which typically are lower than the Swifts. I know with my Swifts they are just right but far from "low". Also, I was able to achieve -2.0 camber in the front and with the right offset wheel you should be fine. Btw I run the same wheels as you but a 255/35/19 in front. Maybe Slicer will come by since he has run every tire and nice wheel made

Tom, thanks for the quick work. You and Kevin made this a easy transaction. I'll be in touch for a few other items at some point ............Phil

//M Ryder and I exchanged some PM's about this but I thought it would be helpful to others if I posted in this thread.

My recommendation:
You just may need to pull your alignment pins and max out your front camber. Your wheels are a very conservative et35 iirc. There may be no need to add camber in your situation. Inner clearance will not be impacted by lowering springs. The wider tire may however require a spacer since it is wider than your last tire (265's). I ran 275's on 9.5" et22 wheels with lowering springs. I pulled my alignment pins and maxed out my camber (-1.7 degrees) and they fit without rubbing.

KW Coilovers (reduced inner clearance due to lower spring perch) - You can sneak by with a 275 and 9.5" et22 wheels but I did observe some tire scuffs on my KW springs. 9.5" et20 is pretty much the perfect offset for 275's on KW coilovers. You will want at least -1.6 camber to have appropriate outer clearance with the above listed offsets.

I haven't tried different tire sizes on my M3 yet but I don't foresee any issues with 275s using the Swift Spec-Rs. There seems to be plenty of room. Once I kill this set of tires, I'm planning on trying either 255/275 or maybe even the GTS sizes (255/285) to see how that feels but I bet it will fit just fine.

The Spec-R is an insanely great set of springs especially considering their price. I've had them on my E92 w/ EDC for a few thousand miles and couldn't be happier. It's surprising how they can reduce body roll with almost no reduction in ride comfort, I attribute a lot of this to the fast response of the factory EDC shocks but I've never driven an M3 with Swifts and passive dampers to see how that compares.
