Question HFC Suggestions?

Looking to install HFC cats onto catless mid. Any suggestions on who makes a good 200 cell cat without spending an arm and a leg for one. Price range is up to $200 per.

Thanks

At the budget end, your only option is probably Magnaflow. But they don't last long, probably two years from what I've read. HJS are much much better quality and last 5 years if not more, but also cost significantly more.

FYI our stock secondary cats are 200 cell. Why not pick up a pair and weld those in instead? Can't beat OEM for longevity and they should be very cheap around here.

You're not going to get a quality cat at that price. The cheapest I would go is here...

These are $200 cheaper than the HJS cats and they are pretty good quality.

The reason aftermarket cats seem to fail so fast is because guys are notorious for installing them on untuned cars. This leads to a rich condition and can actually cause some unspent fuel to detonate in the headers or cat itself -- and that breaks down the substrate very quickly.

If a car is tuned properly, the aftermarket cats should last a very long time.

The spun body stuff, like that, is a good choice. They tend to flow more evenly, as I understand it, and have simpler fitment/installation.

I ran that style years ago on my Integra GS-R and it worked beautifully.
