Buying a house

So I am looking for a house in the Tampa area for possible purchase and I come across this......nice e90 parked in the driveway, I might buy for that fact........

Tampa is okay depending on the area, but it is growing for the better. I highly recommended the Brandon area. Its also nice because I live 45 minutes form Orlando and 3.5 from Miami.

I wish that was what I paid. I pay $2300 for just rent! My other home in SC that is rented out was $1523. Can't really see what that home size is from the pic.

The Brandon area is very nice. Plus if you are a high school sports fan they have a teremendous wrestling program... several nationally ranked kids come out of that program every year... really fun to see.

What are the better areas of Tampa? The home that I found comparable is going to cost over $400,000.

It is very easy to pay that little. A one bedroom rents for $750 and up. 2 Bedroom $1000 and up. # bedroom $1750 and up. I have seen homes rent out for $5-10k a month on the North Shore. Condo purchase for $300-500k and homes from $400k to over 1 million. The house I'm living in now values for $600,000 but you wouldn't think so. The house is only worth $135K and the rest is land value. I too was amazed at how much it cost to live here. Land is costly here so the houses are not what costs. New condos in Waikiki go for $800k. That is why I'm renting versus buying. You live in DC and its pretty expensive there too right?

I'm from Tampa. My first choice to live would be Hyde Park followed by New Tampa. Seminole Heights is the closeet thing to a real neighborhood.

Brandon = too many pickup trucks/gun racks for me that is....
