I think that was one of CaptainInsano's early low boost runs where he got surprised by a nasty crosswind at 140mph and let off early. But by the end of the day, at full boost, his car was the fastest recorded E9x chassis BMW at the event. Faster than all the SC'd M3s, even the ESS VT750 car

Yeah that wasn't my best run. I didn't even look at the trap speed of that one. Wheelspin in 2nd and I let off early because I thought something was wrong with my steering.

Here's the video from the other end though:

I feel satisfied from my other runs

Cheers,
Pete

He's a 62mm, but he has wastegate issues.

I'll quote myself from another thread:

I think I trapped 157 in that vid, whereas TMO trapped 150/151?

See you guys out there next time, it was a lot of fun.
Check out this thread a lot more info in there:

In the morning, we were being pretty conservative with the tune keeping boost at ~22psi/620whp. By afternoon, it was running ~24psi/650whp.

I'm sure there's a video of this, how could there not be! And if so, this would of made front page on the forums. Or maybe you can show a times recorded sheet from the day's event?

What turbo is it (brand/model)? Sounds like it's still internally gated.

Shiv I can't confirm if you were faster than Drew the entire weekend as I didn't see all the traps but otherwise Shiv is right guys. I actually ran this car again later in the afternoon on higher boost with Shiv driving and it trapped 162. I was trapping 155-156. It couldn't be filmed as unfortunately I botched the start very badly as I was starting at 55mph in 2nd gear which was ~ 8,000 RPM and I couldn't get the DCT shift to 3rd off in time and hit fuel cut off which just stopped the car and it bucked a couple of times and that was that.

No because we never ran this time around. I think my best trap was 163, I didn't do too many runs at this event, as Adam pointed out, in another thread, the car was having a few issues, but still ran well.

The Single Turbo and RB cars are very fast and have a lot of potential. We should have ran like we did at the last event, next time we will.

Is it just me or every time there is a big turbo car in a race they are having some sort of issue? I'm not knocking it, I used to have a gt35 Evo and that never ran right either. Looks like fun though, some fast cars there!

GT-Rs mainly. There was a Porsche trapping high 190s, as well as an RX-7 I believe. The Ford GTs didn't seem to come out in force this time, but I was only there Sunday. There was a new style Mustang beating a Ford GT a couple times.
