Looking for a complete care starter package

Ok still kind of new to the high end owning a car thing. Usually I just use touchless carwashes and whatever store available meguirars or turtle wax etc. Wondering if anyone has a good set of products they recommend I can buy to get started with basic washing and waxing, including towels and stuff that will be safe for the paint?

Thanks

Hmmm there are so many options. Honestly you could handle maintaining a great finish on your car with the meguiars products you find at Walmart. I honestly can't tell you just one company that will get you started out because there are so many products that its hard to choose and rarely does someone carry only products from one line. My best advice would be to do some research on these brands: Adams, Auto Finesse, Meguiars, Chemical guys, Optimum, Sonax, 1Z, etc. There are other big companies but off the top of my head that's what comes to mind. If you have specific questions like should I get this soap or that soap or anything of the nature feel free to ask. Take a look at detailers domain and detailed image for places to buy

Most of the art of detailing is about technique. The key thing to remember is to minimize the chance of marring your paint by not touching your car with dirty towels or a dirty sponge.

I've been ordering of Autogeek.net since they have coupon codes.

* Wash - Meguiars Gold Class
* Polish/Wax - tired and true All-in-One product like Klasse All In One
* Wheels - Sonax Full Effect for really dirty rims, regular soap and water.
* Tires - Clean with Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner to remove brown spots. Optimum Opti Bond for shine.
* Towels - Sams Club ProForce Microfiber towels. Or Cobra Gold Plush Jrs.

Also checkout the product lists on Reddit /r/Autodetailing. Half of the fun of detailing is trying new products!

I believe Griots Garage has a nice starter kit. I like their products.
