Driver side mirror doesn't tilt on reverse anymore

Any ideas why this is? The passenger side tilts down but the drivers side has stopped working? Minor wiring problem?

Did you accidentally switch the mirror adjustment switch to the right side? Switch the switch back to the left and see if your mirror tilts on reverse.

edit:
driver side doesn't tilt. i thought you were talking about passenger side

driver side mirror NEVER tilts down... not in my 2008 m3 at least. only passenger side mirror tilts down to allow you to see the curb.

Doesn't on my 2011 either, I'm pretty sure this applies to every BMW that has this feature..

Yep, passenger side only. And with switch to the left, contrary to most cars (just like gas cap on right side), due to car designed as right-hand-drive. If you need the driver's mirror to tilt down, you need driving lessons .

Mirror switch should be position to the left. Check code and check ‘mirror to fold’ is activated. Though mirrors technically do not fold on my X3, it does activate the tilt on the passenger side.

My '08 side mirrors tilt either from the driver or passenger side depending if the switch is right or left, respectively. Never for both at the same time. The only time I use the driver side tilt is when backing into a spot that has the curb (usually high) on the same side-comes in handy!

My 08 only tilts on the passenger side, I'll re-verify again when I go for a drive again later today.

Is there a way to code or maybe buy (new mirror) to have Tilt? There are times that I would like to have the driver side mirrors tilt as well.
