Did this come through the auction? I don't think I'd buy a 50k M3 from a dealer like that, but that's just me.

It is still under warranty so that is a good thing about the car. If you were interested I would see if they could allow it to go to a BMW dealership to get a pre-purchase inspection done.

I have dealt with that dealership before. They sell cars mostly from auction with minor accident or even with accident not reported to carfax/autocheck.

I'm a dealer and buy 80-100 cars a month...mostly from auctions. I wouldn't write this car off entirely, just depends on your priorities.

Yes they most likely purchased it from auction, and they probably picked it up at a good price, hence them being able to sell it for an extremely competitive number. If you buy it at this number you're paying Clean Trade for it, which is a good deal for a used car no matter what car it is.

Comparatively, you'll find that that majority of the 2012 M3 E92's currently available for sale online run from $52,900-$55,000.

Believe it or not there are some good buys out there, but have a BMW Store look at it prior to purchasing; afterall this isn't a Corolla you're getting.

ORRRR just forget everything everyone is saying, suck it up for an extra $3000-$5000 and go get a Certified M3 with the piece of mind and enjoy the ride.

good experience or bad?

that independent dealership claims it was purchased from BMW Financial coming off a 2 year lease. I'm skeptical....

Good comments Brandfay....food for thought.

It was bad experience for me. It was carfax "certified" as they claimed however, after careful inspection I found out that one fender was repainted and ofcourse I wont buy a performance car that had a repainted fender no matter what carfax says.

I think it depends on the car, as Bradfay said, many dealers buy from auctions, some has minor issues some don't have any issue.
