Full Akrapovic Exhaust System installed

I've been in the market for different exhaust set ups and this one seemed to catch my eye. I wanted something quiet and light...

The quality of this exhaust just blows me away. I have nothing but positive things to say! It is so freaking light... The pipes felt like a feather.

There is ZERO drone, not a single drop. That is my favorite thing about it!

It is pretty quiet but it'll keep me out of trouble.

Pick up a Akra system from Nate@IND or Gary@Rennspec.

Special Thanks to Alex@Gintani for installing the system on a very busy day.

Please note: I'm not pushing the car at all in this video.. This video is all quarter throttle
I need to remove the cats so my big supercharger can be happy

Josh

Dang Gintani's SC system sounds wicked ... So you're gonna change out the pipes to get rid of the cats? Why didn'y you just buy the Akra rear section?

I'm going to see if I can cut the cats out of the Akra if not I'm going to have to order another Akra pipe with no cats.

The Akra system uses 100 cell cats, I did not think it would effect the performance but since my car is pushing so much more air then a n/a car the cat is choking the car.

Trial and error. I'm a very impatient guy

I know what you mean ... I'm running a full Ericsson system that also has 100 cell cats but now I'm thinking of going to a Gintani/Arqray system to get rid of the cats and res

In a few days it will have a nice blue/purple look. Mostly at the x-pipe and right after the headers.

Maybe you could ask Check Captain if Akra would build you a front section with no cats.

Love the Akrapovic. I was a little worried it would be too quiet when I got mine based on reviews on this board. But it actually is pretty good volume, make some nice noise when you step on it and is still mellow while cruising which is the best part.

Josh, you wouldn't consider Gintani's 3" headers with a catless x-pipe and the akrapovic axle back? In doing that, you can have as little backpressure as possible since ur FI, and try to keep it as mellow as possible bu using the Akra mufflers. Plus, if youre catless, you can run leaded race gas and won't have to worry about clogging up your cats.

No one should run leaded race fuel in these engines, because it ruins the O2 sensors. Just ask Pencilgeek.

I saw Robert's thread. But he was running Q16 if I am correct. Wouldn't some less oxygenated fuels be ok? Many have run leaded fuels without problems with their O2 sensors. guess he should just stick to unleaded MS109 or just 100 octane.

Anyways, If I was running the boost Josh is running, i'd go catless anyways. Cats are just too restrictive and aren't worth it after you've spent all that money makin that power.

I just picked up my stock exhaust from the shop where I had my Akra installed. The muffler and connecting pipes are really heavy! No doubt the Akra cuts 50+ pounds from stock.
