Oil level check
  1. Drive 12km or more to warm things up.
  2. Park on a level surface with the engine still running.
  3. Toggle the button on your turn indicator until you see "Oil" shown on your instrument cluster. Then press and hold the button again until you see a clock icon.
  4. Wait for the clock icon to disappear. This indicates a refreshed oil reading and will be reflected in iDrive. Note, this reading can take up to 15 minutes if the car wasn't warmed up.
  5. Click "Appreciate" my forum post.

Oil change interval
  1. Put keyflob in and press "Start" once (do not start the engine).
  2. With foot on the brake pedal, hold odometer reset until yellow triangle comes up.
  3. Use scroll wheel on turn indicator to find an icon that you want to reset service for.
  4. Press the button and a reset light will come on.
  5. Press again and hold it for few seconds.

You're talking about the menu functions to reset the oil change interval once you've changed your own oil, correct?
