Run ps2 in front and pss for rear ???

I just get a 20s wheels change soon ! The size is F 255/30/20 R 285/30/20
I really love to get 2 set of pss for the new wheel. but the size of pss only available for the rear tire. and the front tire I can only get ps2 from now. is it ok to run a car like that???
thanks for the advise !!!!

Michelin has specifically recommended against mixing and matching PSS with PS2 . The difference in performance is significant enough that they are concerned about throwing off the balance of the handling.

They should bring the PSS to your front size, but have not given a timetable for that yet.

It's NEVER recommended to mix and match performance tires. Different handling characteristics, pushing the car, could end up not pretty. Not worth it IMHO.

I have a mix of PZeros on the front and Falkens on the rear on my M which I have had at 196mph... no problems at all.

just dont mix on the same axle and know your limits and you'll be fine.

This should be fine since you should run the stickier tire in the rear. And since the PSS has the better traction you are good.

I have run different brands front and back on the track before, and even different sized wheels; so again as long as I kept the high grip in the back, it was not dangerous.

I ran Michelin PS2's up front and Pirelli Pzero's in the rear, and now I'll be running Pirelli Pzero's in the front and Michelin PSS's in the rear. As long as you don't do anything crazy you'll be fine.

It's fine. Probably not optimal for 8/10s driving though.

I'm running Ps2 front and PSS rears, but I haven't pushed the car yet. Will let you know my impressions when I do.
