Anyone experiencing faulty Throttle control motor?
My M3 is 2008 manual and had 67000km on the clock.
Last week I had warning message of "engine fault""DSC failure""DBC failure""flat tyre monitor failure""start assist inactive" Then it as diagnosed with Throttle control motor faulty and the replacement cost is high (about USD$3000) |

I got it a couple weeks ago as well on a 2008 e92. Bank 2, CANBUS error with throttle actuator. Since that is a communication malfunction, the dealer updated me to the latest software first to see if that would solve it and I haven't had any problems in a week now. Hoping that does the trick and I don't have to replace anything.
I'm not saying that would work in your case, but you might want to ask about that first. What codes are you pulling? |

From scanning that other thread, I noticed there was a 2-3 week back order for the actuator. Maybe more cars have this problem then we think.
