My winter setup: Black ZCP wheels with 15/12mm spacers

In follow up to my earlier thread: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=448590

I finally mounted them and went out for a quick photoshoot. Wheels are my stock ZCP that I had a local wheel repair shop paint them. Tires are Blizzak LM-60 in sizes 275/35/19 & 255/35/19. Fitment is just perfect! I wasn't gonna do the spacers but thought what the heck I want it to look as good as possible since these wheels will be on the car for a good 4 - 5 months every year. Got some Macht Shnell 15mm front and 12mm rear.

I'm totally happy with the overall look. The black wheels gives the car a badass aggressive attitude look while my summer wheels (HRE P40) have more of a classy exotic feel. It'll be nice to have a change every summer/winter.

Now the pics. It wasn't the most ideal conditions for a good photoshoot as it was cold, windy, overcast and looked like it could start snowing any minute. But you get the idea. Tell me what you think!

Your winter set is better than most peoples summer set.

Great choice, very stealth.

I have no choice but to run 19" as the Brembo's will not clear 18" rims.

Haha thanks I guess! I wouldn't say it's better but very different. I dig them both!

Funny you mention this. I just got a ticket today for no front plate. -$110. First ticket in almost 2 years (didn't have front plate on my '03 M3 either) which was a pretty long streak. No way I'm drilling holes in the front bumper now..

Drove around today for a good 100kms. Went over some big dips at speed and did quick full lock turns as a test and no rubbing whatsoever so I think I'm good.

Here's an interesting pic showing my wheel transitions all taken at roughly the same spot. Top pic is stock, middle is stock painted black and bottom pic is my summer setup with 20" HRE P40....

I certainly meant no offense by my comments... I just love the satin ZCPs on SG... Both look great...

Nice!!!! I had almost the same set up until a few weeks ago. 15 and 12 mm spacers w/ zcp's and an H R drop. Sold my zcp's to get the 20 inch LM's Bad Ass set up!!!! I'll be posting mine soon.

love it. Looks absolutely amazing. Are you dropped/running stiffer setup? I don't understand how you are not rubbing... I am running a 12/10 spacer setup and have the same tire setup as you (255/275 Vreds) but I am rubbing in the back... enough that I broke the bracket that connects the corner of the rear bumper to the quarter panel

Looks fantastic Daft, you've got me thinking about spacers now. Your comp. wheels sit just perfectly but I've been hesitant to go away from OEM specs with respect to the ZCP handling & calibrations specific to the package. And from a cosmetic point of view (and to some extent structural, looking inside towards the rotors where the wheel meets the hub, are the spacers an obvious addition? What I mean is...do the spacers give the wheels a "tacked on" look if you're looking at the fitment between wheel & hub? Difficult to explain, hope you understand what I mean.

Anyways....car looks just great!!! And your winters, well I'm biased and love them.
