Huh? Do you mean that you're not close enough to anything 60% of the time? Or that when you do get close to something it is only reporting it 40% of the time?

And I had a VERY used Ford LTD station wagon (with peeling wood siding). Drove it all through High School and College. The thing sat nine people (including two in the rear-facing jump seats). It was a blast.
But, back on topic -- RealSanaii I think you should order exactly what you want and WAIT for it. The wait for my M3 has been agonizing (first waiting a year for it to even be offered, and now waiting months for my order to be built and delivered), but it's a bittersweet agony. It's the anticipation of ultimately having an excellent car, and the reality of having achieved a level of stability and income that affords me the privilege of buying a $90K car. I know once I receive the car, it'll be fun for about a year or so, then it'll be "old-hat" and my mind and aspirations will have moved on to other things (forgetting completely, the anticipatory desire I had in my heart for the car to arrive). Get exactly what you want, and don't give in to the "immediate gratification." It'll mean more to you in the long run. "clink... clink..." <-- my two cents.

I just ordered one and its not coming until the end of august...order the one you want and just wait for it, unless you can't. Spending 70K on a car that is not what you want is a lot!

Got back from the dealer just now.
I originally planned on getting a Jerez Black with Fox red interior. Today was a gloomy day here at Northern Virginia and I didn't quite like how Jerez looked so I changed my mind to Jet Black. The car that I'm getting is in status 155, vehicle inspection stage, and will be about month of wait. The car has everything I wanted, and is fully loaded. At first, my CA told me that it would be impossible to get the car since the car was ordered specifically from a small dealer at PA. So, I was almost ready to order my car when I got a call from my CA, telling me the car will be mine if I deposit today so I just did. I'll be getting the production number later tonight and will be checking the status every single minute for the next month. Thanks guys for your inputs and thoughts. As I said, I am young and fortunate enough to drive such an engineering marvel and I will appreciate every single minute and mile of it. Planning to track the car to 'mature' my driving skills as well as to be more responsible for this kind of a machine!

Tell me what your looking for exactly. Im sure I can find one here at a dealership next to me. Class BMW in Dallas Texas is one of the biggest BMW stores in the nation and if you don't mind driving it back home you may be able to get exactly what you want.

Which dealer are you buying from in NoVA? Just curious. Sounds like your CA is working hard for you.
