Concave isn't getting played out IMO because no one has done them right! Well let me rephrase that no one has done them to my standard really cause when I want super concave I want really concave. Esquire I would go with the p40sc and have Lon work something out and make them a little more concave. I've seen the p40sc in person numerous times and it's slightly concave IMO but the picture of Tina's car(s5) looks really concave. I would personally like even more concave than Tina's car but just a little more. I'm sure you can get the hre to work. Best of luck!

I agree here. If I were to ever try a set, I'd want the deepest concave money could buy.
My biggest problems with concave is it really isn't new but someone decided to make a wheel and they pushed it like mad. They pushed it everywhere. People started buying and now every company makes concaves. Its a fad. A follow the newest greatest thing. I hate Pied Piper mentalities.

Now that the hoopla is starting to wear down, I may consider a set. They look really cool rolling down the street. Those spokes pop out like mad. Thats why we buy wheels, to catch the eye.

Fellas, I repeat it is very very difficult to capture the concaveness(sp) of the wheels in still photos. Every picture I have seen does not capture the same concaveness that your actual eyes see the wheels when in person. Even the HRE's on my former M3 are more concave in person than in any pictures that I have seen.

That being said, HRE can make a set of custom wheels specific to your request. However, keep in mind that they will only change the wheels to be within the safety and structural standards to maintain the integrity of the wheel to be safe and road worthy. Be careful of other manufacturers that may make custom wheels and compromise the integrity and safety of the wheel.

Just my two cents!

This is true, P43SC look much deeper in person than pics.

I don't see why this is still being discussed. These new SC series monobloc wheels by HRE look amazing.

My 19" P40s have consistently impressed me over the last 4 years with their durability. (The stock forged 19s 220ms have impressed me as well) These wheels are just structurally so solid. I've hit nasty, nasty pot holes, expansion joints, dips, ridges and in some cases I was just waiting to feel the flat or bent rim, but it never came.

I can't say enough about my experience owning and truly putting my HRE Wheels to the test.

Maybe it's time to trade in my first gen P40...P43SC or P44SC for me

Have to admit, the HRE's look pretty amazing. Tempted by the idea of custom offset and square-set up to maximize concavity all-around.

The Strasse Forged Monoblock SM7 looks good too, but want to see a pic on an actual M3 - so far i've only seen pics of the multi-piece SM7 on an M3 and those are obviously much more concave.

Roman, great color and finish choice on your HRE's by the way.

I was looking for the same wheel last year, a quality mono forged super concave wheel. I went with the HRE P43SC's. I love the classy and aggressive look of the P40SC series. I think they compliment the M3 beautifully. My wheels look better in person...
