Selling the M3

After taking a look at the new boxter videos on youtube I have decided to sell my E92 M3. Anyone else have a chance of heart? The new design is stunning.

Take a look at mine and let me know if your interested:

Really?? You're gonna sell your car for a Porsche Boxster?

I'm a huge advocate of "to each his own"...but your car is wayyyyy sexier than a Boxster. What about a used GT3?

I wouldn't sell my M3 for a Boxter. You will be sorry after a few weeks when your infatuation wears off.

Lol....whatever helps them sleep at night

For me personally: I won't buy a Porsche unless it's a GT2 or GT3. I don't wanna pull up to a light next to an 80 year old retired doctor/lawyer in the same carrera I'm in. Lol no thanks.

I wouldn't take a boxster over the M3 but I actually wouldn't be surprised if it put down faster times on a shorter track. Especially with the new model coming which I will assume should be faster, lighter, and have the latest fancy PDK from Stuttgart.

....And whatever makes you sleep at night.

You wouldn't want to pull up to the stoplight in the same 911 as the doctor/lawyer yet you pull up to a stoplight now in the same M3 as the college kid.

I run stop lights and punch "college kids" in the face!

Just trying to keep this awesome debate going.

Please, please take counsel with your pillow!!

Although I am from Germany and even from the Stuttgart area originally(not far away from Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen) I advise you to think this decision over.

There is more to come than the car design.

For us Germans the Boxster is an inofficial successor of the 924, also called "Hausfrauenporsche" (housewive's porsche). Hopefully the image will change a bit with the new modell.
Believe me, although I am a woman and not a professional car-expert, most Boxster-owners have problems with reselling their car. If you want to buy one, buy a young and used one. Otherwise you'll make a big minus.

Kind regards,
Nordschleifchen

The Boxster is the quintessential second car. The design is so limiting.

I like it but wouldn't chose it over an M3. However, if you get bored of it you could sell it for a minimal loss and hop back into an M3. From what I have seen, Porsche's do not depreciate very much and I doubt this new Boxster will.
