The old SmartyCam did, so I would be surprised if this doesn't.

Update:
I was informed today by AiM to expect the first batch of shipment in August. Units will be shipped in the order they were received. A new version of SmartyManager (the configuration software) will also be released. All domestic customers who have already placed an order will be upgraded to two-day shipping free of charge. I really appreciate everyone's patience during this (long) process.

Smartycam looks great but is so damn expensive. Please post some review, when you have tested it.
If you only have SoloDL, is it possible to make an overlay similar to the one in SmartyCam? |

wow a camera that does its own datalogging? am i reading this correctly? (with ecu connection). Only question is why is the screen on the front of the camera? I guess it'll work since the camera is behind you in most applications.

The screen is in the front of the camera because most race cars have roll cages which make the rear seats (if they exist) inaccessible. Having the screen in the front makes installation much easier.

Here is some smarty cam footage that may be of interest. I am not trying to jack the thread just show what is possible (look to the lower right of the vid - lap time, speed, rpm, g's etc)
I have tracked my M3's in the past but there is nothing like driving a shifter kart - unless you have access to an F1 car like these guys Enjoy! Last edited by scrammer; 10-04-2013 at 09:26 AM.. |

From my understanding syncing is a trial and error process. These software have free trails so try them out!

Solo DL acts as the bridge between SmartyCam and ECU. Solo DL connects to the ECU via direct CAN connection or OBD2. It also records lap times based on GPS and displays it in car. SmartyCam takes data from Solo DL and overlays it on HD videos.

There are, however, constant firmware upgrades which are free to all owners.
